Anasco Hotels & Resorts
Located just south of Rincon on the island’s west coast is the city of Anasco. Rich in history and excitement, the town is known as “the city where the gods die,” for it was here that Taino Indians drowned a Spanish soldier to prove that Spaniards were not Gods, sparking the Taino rebellion of 1511. Now a peaceful town that comes to life with festivals throughout the year, Anasco is also home to El Mirador de la Bahia, a 3-story tower on a small cliff overlooking Anasco Bay and the eighteenth century Parroquia San Antonio Abad church. Tres Hermanos Beach is perfect for water sports and sunbathing while Parque de Diversiones El Castillo amusement park features the largest wave pool in the Caribbean, a medieval castle, an antique museum and a haunted house.
